Recent commissions

Sketchbook Lovelies.

This shows the difference a week off makes to drawing abilities. I've had a lot of commissions lately, and I was clearly exhausted! A small break really allowed me to come back to drawing refreshed.

I have a cat called Fizz. Luckily for her, I also have Photoshop.

Lady fell asleep across from me on the train.

Update

I like bugs. Bugs, bugs, bugs.

A few of the latest.

This is the Red Queen. Carrying on from last weeks Alice in Wonderland theme.

Self portrait.

My Facebook page reached 200 likes! Woo! Go and check out out :D

30 Minute Paints.

I recently discovered the Daily Spitpaint over on facebook. Its wonderful. They set the topic each day, and give you 30 minutes to paint it. Here are some from the past week.

Three-eyed Angel.

Pupa Hatching.

Tribal Earring.

Skipping Valentines!

...and going straight to easter! Pencil and Photoshop.

Commission

Finished! The learning process was so much fun. There is a lot I could improve on, but there always will be!

Project.

Something I'm working on for a client.

Portrait

The pose is a tad retarded, but I'm pleased with the eyes.

Paint Practice on New Cintiq

My new years resolution is to be super awesome at painting in two years time. Day one, I have attempted a face!

Jeff

This is Jeff. He's got nasty owners who fight him like a pitbull. He just needs cuddles.

Portrait

Sad little sub. A bit TMI, but it was a fun painting exercise. Learning about where to put detail and where to leave it out.

Image Dump

Here's a few images I've worked on in the last few months. Projects are sparse at the moment since being short staffed at work. It would be awesome to illustrate full time ^_^

Digital Portrait

So I am really loving the learning process of digital painting right now. This has been sitting on my desktop, unfinished, for around a month. Finally happy with the result, though I can stil see a lot of potential for future improvements (those bloody eyelashes!) Lots could be done to make it more interesting too. I'll leave that for another time. This could be one of those long term projects to revisit every few years. Yes!

Cat Goblin

I have recently been watching a lot of Jim Henson productions and decided to goblinify my cat for giggles. It's quite tempting to do a series of these.

KEEP CALM. YOU'RE A PIEON.

Food Diary. Day Two.

This was a brilliant day by the sea side with an old friend.
