Shading Practice.
Our Lindsay has had this line-work on her leg for a couple of years now. Unable to contact the original artist, she let me get my teeth stuck into some new-school shading! Whoop! So much fun. We're going all out with the insane colours in the next session. Cant wait!

#Tattoo Artist
So, Ive been rather busy lately! For those interested, I landed myself a nice little tattoo apprenticeship in Le Fox Method Ink, Louth, UK. I'm not one for superstitions, and I dont believe in fate, but it feels as "meant to be" as anything can. Drew Le Fox, Jim Beaumont, and Lindsay Stephens are the most amazing group of people I have ever had the pleasure of hanging out with. Its a breath of fresh air to be surrounded by creative, laid back, and hard working people who share the same philosophies and interests as I do. Le Fox Method Ink is a building filled with people who are 100%, visibly excited to be doing their job. Can you imagine that?! The energy in this place is insane.
Anyway, heres some tattoos and designs I've had the pleasure of doing this past couple of months.

Witch Trials
Couldn't decide which version I liked the best, so here's both. This was so much fun. Painted with ink, developed in Photoshop.

College Witch
And here she is! She loves gadgets and playing with electronics. She's even souped up her broom. Boom!

Halloween project is coming along nicely!
I've been using art forums for direction on this. Asking folks which costume design works the best and communicates the concept. I wanted to show a college freshmen witch at the end of her first year. Raised by ye-olde traditional witches. This is her first taste of the modern world.
The three designs that were chosen for further development all manage to keep a strong correlation to their traditional witch ancestry, whilst going there own way with it:
Bookworm: Strong silhouette and great potential for a character with lots of pent up energy.
Punk: Archetypal rebellious teenager character. Needs development. Hair and outfit do not co-ordinate.
Techie: Strong 'witch' look whilst being completely contemporary. Great potential to use technology as part of her magic.

BDSM Begins
So, my client is a superbly kinky fellow, and wanted me to create scene which tells a story. Here it is. The origin of kink! Intergalactic research cyborg gets to the sexy part of her itinerary, decides its the only part worth doing.

I Have a Plan, But Here's a Commission For Now.
Expertly titled post, if I do say so myself. I have a game plan to improve and make my portfolio nice and coherent. I've set myself a few character design projects for imaginary games. My aim is to fill this page with them. At the minute my portfolio is alright, but unfocused. Soon it will be alright AND focused. Then one day, if I work my ass off, it will be AMAZING and focused... One day!
But for now, here are the beginnings of a commission I've been working on. Its getting a lot of interesting reactions. Not surprising given its nature. I love that people are trying to figure out whether something super rude is actually happening in the scene. But I guess thats up to the viewer! More updates soon!

Elf Healer
My hair seems to be improving. Skin and fabric are next. Defining the shoulders when the lighting is top-down is difficult. Practice makes perfect!
